Sip, Savor, and Enjoy: Galveston Island Wine Festival Returns!
GALVESTON, Texas(April 8, 2025)- Wine lovers and food enthusiasts are in for an unforgettable experience as Moody Gardens and Yaga’s Entertainment presents the Galveston Island Wine Festival from August 29 to August 31, 2025. This year’s festival promises to be the most exciting yet, featuring a record-breaking 14 events, the largest lineup in the festival’s history. Guests will enjoy a weekend filled with exceptional wines, mouth-watering cuisine, unique experiences, live entertainment, and more.
For those craving a culinary adventure, the White Linen Seafood Extravaganza is not to be missed. Set for Friday evening, this stand-and-taste event features top-tier chefs presenting sensational seafood dishes paired with wines from the world’s finest wine regions. Guests will enjoy an unforgettable dining experience while dressed in their best attire.
Saturday’s Penguins & Pinot: Grand Tasting at the Aquarium Pyramid offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to sip, savor, and sample exquisite wines and spirits while surrounded by the mesmerizing marine life in the Aquarium Pyramid. Guests can also enjoy food bites from Gulf Coast restaurants, making this a truly immersive experience.
Other highlights of the festival include Restorative Yoga and Brunch & Bubbles each morning, offering guests the perfect start to their day. In addition, the Classic Cars, Wine & Texas Country event provides a fun mix of classic car previews, Texas country music, and wine tastings. Wine’d Down After Hours will keep the party going into the night, offering live entertainment, dancing, and the chance to unwind in a relaxed atmosphere.
Sunday wraps up the weekend with a Bourbon Tasting and the ever-popular Wine Dinner at Shearn's, followed by the Grand Finale: An Evening with Suzy Bogguss, a special performance by the legendary country artist to close out the festival.

Moody Gardens Announces Festive Easter Activities for the Whole Family
GALVESTON, Texas - Moody Gardens is excited to announce a lineup of festive activities for the upcoming Easter weekend. Planned events include Breakfast with a Bunny, an Easter Buffet, an expansive Easter Brunch, and a themed Hotel Package fun for the family.
Lasting memories can be made at Moody Gardens Hotel with a family-friendly, Easter-themed Hotel Package that includes a one-night stay, two Easter baskets, and a fun family Easter scavenger hunt.
Guests are invited to begin their Easter celebration by having Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, available beginning Friday, April 18 at 10:00 a.m. or Saturday, April 19 at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Guests can indulge in a delectable breakfast buffet at the Garden Restaurant inside the Visitors Center, featuring a variety of mouthwatering dishes such as eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, and a sweet affair of French toast dusted with sugar, croissants, Belgian waffles, and more. The event also includes a souvenir photo, an Easter Bunny meet and greet, and animal presentation. Tickets are priced at$42 for adults and $28 for children aged 2-12.
On Easter Sunday, April 20, visitors can wear their best Easter attire and head to Moody Gardens for brunch. Guests will have two delicious dining options. The Garden Restaurant located in the Moody Gardens Visitor Center, will offer a delicious Easter Buffet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Buffet options include a selection of cold salads, chef-carved Smoked Ham and Roasted Leg of Lamb, a Pasta Station, Seafood options, and variety of delectable desserts. Prices for the Easter Buffet are $67.10 for adults, $54.90 for seniors, and $42.70 for children aged 4-12.
Guests may also enjoy an elevated and expansive Easter Brunch in the Frances Anne Moody Ballroom at the Moody Gardens Hotel. A menu crafted by Executive Chef Bobby Ross includes an assortment of indulgent breakfast selections which include homemade baked croissants and pastries, made-to-order omelets, and other breakfast favorites. Additionally, guests may feast on a variety of savory salads, seafood, and entrée options. Menu offerings that include Mint Crusted Lamb Rack, Roasted Prime Rib, or Chili Dusted Red Fish, will please any foodies’ pallet. Seating times for the Easter Brunch will be between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tickets for the Easter Brunch are $109.80 for adults, $97.60 for seniors, and $48.80 for children aged 4-12.

Raymond Vineyards, founded in 1971 by Roy Raymond and his sons, has a long-standing tradition of producing outstanding wines. Acquired by the Boisset Collection in2009, the winery is now under the ownership of Jean-Charles Boisset.
