Pyramid Field Trip Grant for Title 1 Schools
The Pyramid Field Trip Grant for Title 1 Schools provides discounted rates on field trips to Moody Gardens for schools whose financial situation would otherwise prevent them from visiting. *Only available between August - February*

Rainforest Exploration
Experience hands-on fun with exotic animals at The Learning Place followed by a guided tour of the Rainforest at Moody Gardens. Visit our tropical "classroom" filled with interesting plants, exotic fish and colorful birds from the rainforests of Africa, Asia and the Americas. Include a visit to the MG 3D Theater for a truly multi-sensory experience.

Ocean Exploration
Dive into the depths of ocean life with an instructional presentation followed by a guided tour of the Aquarium at Moody Gardens®. Visit our underwater "classroom" full of exotic fish, unusual invertebrates, frolicking seals, and playful penguins on a journey through the oceans of the world. Include a visit to the MG 3D Theater for a truly in-depth experience.

Let's Make a Seal
Discover how seals and other marine animals are adapted for survival in the ocean environment.
Frances & Friends
Students will accompany a sea turtle on a story book adventure learning about adaptions that animals have for living in a coral reef habitat.
Grades 6-8:
Rendezvous at the Reef
Explore the intricacies of coral reefs and their importance to the marine ecosystem.
Expedition Shark!
Students will follow a tagged shark on migration to learn about Gulf ecosystems, food webs, and scientific data collection.
Grades 9-12:
Save Our Seas (S.O.S.)
Delve into the depths of pollution prevention, as well as other ocean conservation issues.
Conservation Reef
Students will learn about the research methods and conservation efforts of scientific divers on coral reefs located off the Texas coast.

Custom-design your visit by choosing your favorite attractions! Select a self-guided tour of the Aquarium Pyramid, Rainforest Pyramid or Discovery Museum, a film at the MG 3D Theater, a ride on the Colonel Paddlewheel Boat or an experience in the 4D Special FX Theater. The Colonel Paddlewheel is available weather permitting

Field Trip Program FAQs:
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO RESERVATIONS HAVE TO BE MADE?
Moody Gardens requires reservations for all Education programs at least two weeks in advance. All reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. Many programs and times fill quickly, so make reservations as soon as possible by calling 409-683-4558.
HOW MANY PEOPLE NEED TO BE IN A GROUP TO QUALIFY FOR GROUP RATES?
In order to qualify for group rates, a minimum of 20 participants is required.
HOW DO I RESERVE MY FIELD TRIP PROGRAM?
After making a reservation, you will be mailed a program contract that verifies your reservation date, program, time and the deposit/payment due date. Upon receipt of your signed program contract and deposit/payment, Moody Gardens® will mail your confirmation materials. All programs require a deposit or full payment by the due date noted on your contract. Any remaining balance is due 7 days prior to arrival date. Moody Gardens® has implemented a cashless transaction policy propertywide and accept credit cards only to reduce physical contact as a part of our COVID-19 protocols. Please have one person make a single payment for the entire group. All program prices reflect a per person rate. This rate applies to chaperones as well.
WHAT HAPPENS IF OUR GROUP IS RUNNING LATE?
If your group is running late, please make every effort to contact your sales representative. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but we reserve the right to cancel or adjust program length accordingly. Remember, late admission is not permitted in the 3D Theater.
CAN MY GROUP BRING THEIR LUNCH AND EAT THERE?
Groups are welcome to bring their lunches or make reservations for the lunch packages available at Moody Gardens®. If you choose to bring your lunches, please make arrangements to keep them in your vehicles until lunchtime. Moody Gardens® cannot provide storage space for lunches. Please note that uncovered picnic areas are available throughout the property. Food and beverages are not permitted inside exhibit areas.
