Pyramid Kids Camps

Single-day camps that line up with school breaks in fall, winter, spring and summer. Each day mixes hands-on activities, games, crafts, science experiments and live animal presentations, with visits to the Aquarium Pyramid, Rainforest Pyramid and theaters, plus seasonal stops like the Palm Beach splash pads in summer and ICE LAND in winter (all weather permitting). Before and after care is available.

Spend the night exploring one of our pyramids. Add a private badge workshop to make it a Scouting Overnight Adventure, or extend your adventure into the next day with add-on attractions at group rates.

Explore the rainforest after dark to see how nocturnal creatures live, with activities and a Rainforest Pyramid tour. Guests spend the night in the Rainforest Pyramid entrance.

Come to Moody Gardens each month for exciting focus theme-related education activities with a corresponding attraction! These programs have been created for home school families/groups of all grade levels.

Learn Wild! Homeschool Program (Family Session)

Mornings 10am-12:30pm

Join us for an educational adventure designed specifically for home school families and groups of all grade levels! Explore focus theme-related activities including a documentary-style movie, education program, and education stations inside the corresponding attraction!

NON-Member: $18 (per person adult & youth 3-17; accompanying siblings 2 and under are free but must be registered.)

Member: $10 (per person adult & youth 3-17; accompanying siblings 3 and under are free but must be registered.)

Advanced registration is required for all attendees to the program, regardless of age. Children must be accompanied by an adult guardian at all times. Children not in K-12  may attend ONLY with older school age sibling(s) in the program.

Learn Wild! Homeschool Program (Science Session)

Afternoons 2pm-4pm

Students participate in STEAM-focused hands-on learning experiences. These programs are designed for students in an interactive classroom setting., Program participation spots are limited, and registration is required.

Student classes: PK3-1st, Elementary: 2nd-4th, Middle: 5th-8th, High: 9th-12th

NON-Member: $20 per student; 3 years old and up

Members: $10 per student; 3 years old and up (PK3-1st grade, must be accompanied by an adult guardian at no charge. Only one guardian per each paid student. Students only for all other classes.)

Learn Live! Pre-K Expeditions - For Learners Ages 3-5

Join other early learners for fun-filled Pre-K Expeditions at Moody Gardens on the second Wednesday of every month from September–May. Enjoy a fun-themed program which may include games, crafts, experiments, story time, and admission into the corresponding attraction. Our education staff will even send you home with more “at-home activity ideas” to keep the learning connections going.

Pre-K Expeditions are designed for children 3–5 years old with an adult participating. Older siblings and additional adults may attend as a participant with a ticket purchase. Babies up to 2 years old are free, but will not be considered a participant.

These multi-sensory and interdisciplinary lessons include elements of history, geography, culture and conservation. The lessons are geared toward learners of all ages and not only provide an engaging discussion about the topics at hand, but also a presentation of real biofacts.

Pyramid Kids Camps

Welcome to the Pyramid Kids Camps at Moody Gardens — where education meets adventure!

‍

Designed for children ages 6 to 12, our camps offer an exciting mix of hands-on activities, games, crafts, science experiments, and live animal presentations. Each day is packed with engaging opportunities to learn about nature, science, and wildlife in a fun and safe environment.

‍

Campers may also have the chance to explore some of Moody Gardens’ most popular attractions, including visits to the Aquarium Pyramid, Rainforest Pyramid, and theaters. Other attraction visits are seasonal, such as the outdoor splash pads at Palm Beach in summer or ICE LAND in the winter. (All activities are weather permitting).
