New Summer Exhibit To Open in the Aquarium Pyramid®
Galveston, TX… Sharks In Depth, a new summer exhibit in the Aquarium Pyramid® at Moody Gardens®, explores shark fact versus fiction, anatomy and behavior through a series of hands-on activities. Visitors can learn how a shark survives without a swim bladder, how they sense prey through vibrations and smell, what currently threatens shark populations and more.
“Moody Gardens® currently has more than a dozen shark species in the Aquarium Pyramid®, and our guests are absolutely fascinated with them,” said John Zendt, general manager of Moody Gardens®. “The Sharks In Depth exhibit is a really fun and interactive way to learn more about ocean predators.”
Sharks In Depth explores the mysterious and often-misunderstood world of sharks, from where they live and what they eat, to how they are designed for their environments. A new Aquarium Pyramid® Shark Passport is given to visitors so that they can learn to identify shark species from around the world.
