Nov. 6 – Jan. 8: Disney's A Christmas Carol in IMAX® 3D
Features Jim Carrey as Scrooge and the three ghosts on the biggest screen in the region through Jan. 8

Nov. 9 – Jan. 8: Tiny Tim Food Drive
Help hungry Galveston County families. Mondays through Thursdays, visitors who bring a nonperishable food item and receive $2 off admission to Disney's A Christmas Carol.

Nov. 14 (4-6 p.m.): Festival of Lights Opening Ceremony
Features variety of live entertainment. Santa parachutes in at 5 p.m. Gates open and the lights go up at 6 p.m.

Nov. 14 – Jan. 2 (6-10 p.m.): Festival of Lights
Features a mile-long trail of more than a million lights, 100 animated displays and an Outdoor Ice Skating Rink. Open Thursdays through Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. through Dec. 12. Open nightly from Dec. 17 through Jan. 2

Nov. 21 (12 p.m.): Forgotten Gateway: Coming to America through Galveston Island
The opening day of the exhibit will feature a special presentation by a special guest speaker and the exhibit curator Suzanne Seriff Ph.D.

Nov. 22 (3 p.m.): Houston Civic Symphony Concert
A concert featuring music composed by immigrants who came to the New World along with a special presentation by Forgotten Gateway exhibit curator Suzanne Seriff Ph.D.

Nov. 26: Thanksgiving Dinner Buffets, Moody Gardens Hotel & Garden Restaurant

Dec. 5 and 6: Dickens on the Strand
Recreation of Charles Dickens’ Victorian London in the Galveston Historic Downtown District. Visitors in Dickens costumes will receive $1 off Festival of Lights admission on Dec. 4 and 5.

Dec. 17 (1 p.m.): Gift of Christmas Live! Children's Matinee shows
Features fun Christmas carols and interaction with the cast of the show

Dec. 17 – Dec. 27: The Gift of Christmas Live! Dinner and Show
Features three-course dinner and a variety of Christmas songs by Texas’ brightest artists

Dec. 12: Judging of A Christmas Carol Art Contest
Children can submit art of their own interpretation of Disney’s A Christmas Carol 3D for prizes by Dec. 11.

Dec. 26: Moody Gardens Facebook Best Scrooge Contest Judging
Submit your Scrooge face on Moody Gardens Facebook page to win a Penguin Encounter

Dec. 31 (7:30 p.m.-1 a.m.): Midnight in the Gardens New Year’s Eve Gala
Guests will enjoy an open bar, elaborate food stations, deluxe party favors, a champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight. Features fabulous show band Eclipse and other surprise entertainers Reservations: 888-388-8484

Jan. 2 (2 p.m.): Fruit Cake Launch and Christmas Tree Chunk
Public is invited to bring leftover fruitcakes to launch on a mechanical launcher provided by Moody Gardens. The longest launch will win a prize. They can also bring live Christmas trees to mulch.
