Multi-Level Structure Adds Slides, Buckets, Blasters and More to Family Attraction
Galveston, TX… Visitors to Moody Gardens’® popular summertime attraction Palm Beach can now enjoy a brand new, interactive, multi-level play structure. The new addition, Aquarium Adventure, features a playful underwater theme, raising the fun vertically with climb-on platforms up to eight-feet tall. Gutter Dumps, Tippy Buckets, Powered Water Blasters, Deck Bubblers and even a 25-foot Hydro Storm tower surprise guests below with a 500-gallon water dump! Two looping slides delights children looking for a thrill, and a new fountain feature squirts up from the ground in lively patterns.
“We are so excited to see our visitors enjoy this new structure at Palm Beach,” said John Zendt, general manager at Moody Gardens®. “We hope to continue with these updates and expansion projects to keep Palm Beach an exciting venue for families and special events in Galveston,” he said.
The new play structure replaces the old submarine and octopus feature, and is larger in size and multiplies the fun with more interactive water toys built into the design. The upper and lower lagoons have been resurfaced with Tuff Coat non-slip covering.
Palm Beach features soft white-sand beaches, blue freshwater lagoons and waterfalls surrounded by lush, exotic landscaping. Visitors can relax in Texas-sized spas or enjoy a game of beach volleyball on regulation courts. The Splashpad automated aquatic water feature offers interactive dump buckets, spray arches and fountains for a day of fun at the beach. Palm Beach will be open daily through August 24. Hours of operation are 9am-6pm. For more information about Moody Gardens® and Palm Beach, call 800/582-4673 or visit www.moodygardens.org.
